About Franklin

Franklin, population 8,500, is centrally located in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire, 28 miles from Concord and 85 miles north of Boston, MA. The City offers a mix of farmland, industry, neighborhoods, a quaint downtown of historic mill buildings, and a local hospital. Known as the “Three Rivers City” because the Pemigewasset and Winnipesaukee Rivers converge here at the headwaters of the Merrimack River, Franklin offers abundant opportunities for fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Driven By Circumstances borders the famed Northern Rail Trail -- at 50-plus miles it is the longest four season recreational rail trail in NH.

Fellowship in Franklin

In addition to recovery meetings held at Farnum North/Webster Place, Franklin supports a vibrant 12-step community, with more than a dozen weekly meetings in Franklin alone and many more in the surrounding towns.
